Julie grew up in New Jersey, which makes perfect sense to everyone she’s ever worked with. She got her BA in English Lit at The College of William & Mary, her Masters in Advertising at VCU Brandcenter, and has spent the rest of her adult life wishing she paid more attention at both of those places. She's worked at/on a wide variety of agencies and clients, from Mailchimp to The New York Times, from Target to Dr. Pepper, from Google and Facebook to Conoco Gas. Thinking it might be fun to explore the dark side, she took a job helping build out the internal creative team at Away, a fledgling travel brand with big ambitions. Ironically, selling suitcases in the middle of a pandemic ignited within her an urge to live abroad. So she moved to London, which is where she is now, leading work on Uber Eats and Jagermeister at Mother.
She's won various industry awards, including Cannes Lions (2 Grand Prix), One Show Pencils, Clios, Effies, D&ADs, but she never properly took inventory of them because that shit makes her uncomfortable.
